bequest from will
do all bequests from a will have to be disbursed at the same time? Some money will not be available for up to 6 months.

No, they do not need to be disbursed at the same time. Many issues are involved: claims period, taxes, cash needed to pay expenses for a house that hasn't been sold etc.
