Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Illinois

legal advice

While my mom was alive as her Power of Attorney, I signed papers at her request to have her home demolished. She paid faithfully for two years before having a massive heart attack. Am I legally responsible for paying off this debt even though the land is not in my name?
