Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Illinois

Probate Extortion 2

I have paid more than $60,000 to an estate that I am 1/3rd beneficiary of but have not gotten a distribution as the others have. I don't owe any more money. How do I get my distribution from a biased independent administrator? I wrote the Judge, but he just sealed it when the executor wanted it dismissed as unallowed ex parte communication. My first question, Probate Extortion, yielded an answer that I had no case which I don't believe.

Re: Probate Extortion 2

Hello and Happy New Year. You have the option of asking the court to remove this independent executor if he

or she is not acting properly and is

acting in such a way as to jeopardize

the assets of the estate. This is a

very serious matter if it is happening. You need your own independent attorney, in my opinion, according to your posting here. I will be happy to answer any additional questions that you may have and in more detail.
