Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Illinois

Will provision Il;

My mother passed and in her will she left a provision that her male friend could live in her residence as long as he desires. He is being treated for Alz/Dementia, Parkinson's, etc and refuses help, the estate attorney says its not the probate court or the estate responsibilty to address guardianship eventhough there are clear signs he needs help. The attorney says it is almost imposible to petition the court and be granted Gship unless he is living in his own waste. None of his family or close friends will step forward. This man is in charge of my mothers house, it's maintenance and paying the utilities only, rent free according to attorneys. Nothing my sister and I can do as it is very difficult and expensive to be granted Gship. What are our legal rights to protect the property our mother left us and how can we force him to get the assistance he needs?

Re: Will provision Il;

It is unclear whether the estate is in Illinois or Indiana. If Illinois, you are in the wrong forum. At this point, it sounds as if there has been any injury to the property. Have you thought of approaching his family about a guardianship?
