I would like to know the legal proceedings to start a consultancy firm with an expected annual turnover of 10,00,000 on a pvt. unlimited type of a company

There no company like Pvt Unlimited Company.
You have to opt for Pvt Limited company, Limited Company, or partnership.
You can also go in for Limited Liability Partnership.
For the purpose of Pvt Limited or Limited company your paid up capital would be of relevance not the expected turnover.

There are no legal formalities required. You may start your business in your own name. Just maintain a regular accounting system and report truthfully to Income tax authorities.
