Legal Question in Consumer Law in India

I had filed a case in a District Consumer Forum and got an acknowledgement, they call, SR No. The clerical staff after scrutiny of it returned the same to me to explain how it is maintainable before the forum under Consumer Protection Act 1986. The return was signed by the President. I complied. After a study of it the clerical staff put the case on cause list and I was given a date. The president made me explain the case in open court. After hearing me and checking pre requisites like check of documents enclosed and court fees the Judge set a date for order. I understand this order will be crucial as, if the case is admitted; a notice will be served to respondents; if not there are provisions to appeal. No order was given on date set that was 30 days after hearing. A new date is set again for 30 more days

Is there a set time by which the President should deliver?

Once a case is admitted the prescribed period for disposal of case is 90 days

and if critical ivestigation of checks required it may be extended for another 150 days.

Though in most cases it is not practiced.

In your case there is no specific regulation it entirely depends upon the President

to deceide.
