Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in India

I need legal assistance in handeling postpaid bill issue. I have a vodafone bill disconnected for non-payment.. i am not in india and had no intention of being a deafulter. but as i have no one in india to pay my bill hence cant pay it for next three months.. but they sent me a mail sighting that this is a legal notice for non-payment.. i had already explained that person that i will pay after three months.. but still got the legal notice.. is it s per the law to send legal notice if there is no payment in 1 month... is the legal notice valid or just a threatening

Legal notice is statutory or contractual.

you may simply send them a cheque for the payment instead of getting into nitty gritties. if you cant pay yourself, ask any friend or relative to pay on ur behalf.
