Legal Question in Criminal Law in India

Certified Copy of the order passed in Gujarat Highcourt.

Nine months ago an order was passed in Cr. Misc application in Gujarat HighCourt in which I was one of the respondent. Now I am in need of a copy of the same. Since the High court is nearly 300 Kms and I am a senior citizen suffering from hypertension. Can I obtain the certified copy of the order through post. If So please advice to whom should I apply and by what instrument (i.e bank draft or Money order) as well as amount that I should sent.

contact your lawyer, who handled the case for you when the matter is ordered. He can get copy of the order as counsel on record, and post it to you.

Normally grant of certified copies are governed by the Rules framed by the concerned High Courts and contained in the High Court Manual. Such rules provides for grant of certified copies by post i.e. you can send an application for certified copies by post and request certified copies by V.P.P. However, such procedure may take quite long time for lack of follow-up. You may consider requesting your then Advocate to do the needful.
