Legal Question in Criminal Law in India

warrant

I was not present in the court on the date of case hearing, as i have given a application for exemption. If court issues a warrant under section 138 negotiable instrument act and I am out of India. What will be the cosequences, can I do anything from a foreign country?

Re: warrant

Friend, very simple. Just apply to the court for permanent exemption if there is no warrant. If there is a warrant, go to the High Court with a simple petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C., 1973, and get it quashed. The High Court will give you time and breathing space.

For more practical details, contact your Advocate or a good one in your city, where the case is.

I hope this is a satisfactory answer.
