Legal Question in Family Law in India

Dear Sir,

I am an Indian woman, I got married 4 yrs back, and i have got a son of 4 yrs. Since my MIL was little egoistic, and greedy person(found of my salary since i was working) she always try's to bring misunderstanding between me & my husband? She wants to break our marriage. She kept us in separate house & she made my hubby not to come to my house. Now me & my kid sleeping alone in my house since past 1 Yrs & he pays very little for our household & i started working just bcoz he refused to pay rent? Now my question is:

1) My husband is telling that i have to come & stay with his mother, which is very harmful to me & i am scared since, she always tries to bring misunderstanind between me & my husband & very strong, egoistic, rude & cruel lady, that she never cares for her husband.ie., for my father in law also.

SO NOW A DAYS MY HUBBY SAYS ALMOST WE ARE SEPARATED FOR MORE THAN 6 MONTHS IT WILL BE STRONG POINT IF I GO TO COURT? So, what does the law says in my case bcoz i am scared to go & stay with MIL?

2) He said that he already enquired with lawyer, so, he will take back his son after 7 yrs from the court? I dont want to leave my son at any cost

3) He forced me to go for job as he learnt from one of his lawyer friend that if wife is working that compensation need not be paid? Any how i am not interested in getting compensation but i am interested in getting back my husband

Even after many sitting along with relatives with husband and MIL, he is not ready to come & stay with me, he says that it is his responsibility to look after his old aged parents. We stay only 2 kms away from our inlaws house? i dont mind my husband looking after his parents, but it is his duty lookafter his wife & kid also.

So, what i should do now? what steps i can take to save my marriage?kindly help its urgent

no spouse can compel the other to stay with him/her. the marriage can be saved by joint efforts of both, the husband and wife and solitary efforts may not prove fruitful. you have other legal remedies for maintenance of your kids and residence.

What are the steps you have taken to please your MIL in earlier days of cohabitation. As like mere 7 yrs completion will not entitle a husband to take the child dogmatically. The same is acc to the facts and circumstances and will differ in each and every case.

You have many remedies under law. Dont worry
