Legal Question in Family Law in India

Hello,

Can a Indian lady (who is a US citizen now) apply for 498a and DV case against inlaws. Husband and inlaws are all still indian citizens and the marriage was in India? Does her citizenship affect her rights or is the law based on where the marriage was held?

Please advice.....

Your change of status from Indian citizen to US citizenship may not affect your rights under the matrimonial laws.
