husband and wife staying seperately past 1yr .husband wants divorce. can wife ask for compensation?

it depends whether u r going for the mutal consent divorce petition i that case first all the issues regarding the money has to be settled first and if not certainly when ur husband files a divorce petition u can file application for maintence.

Mere separation will not entitle the husband to get divorce. The wife may be entitled to maintenance / alimony even without divorce.
