Re: Registry-marriage.

legally speaking there is nothing which you could do as preventive measure since what you intend to do is legal and your father-in-law can not interfere. If u apprehend physical assault from him, you can certainly lodge complaint with police stating your apprehension.

Re: Registry-marriage.

You both have to fill up prescribed form for the registration of your marriage by fullfilling their requirement, as per law you both are major for the purposes for solemnizing the marriage.

Preventive measurs:

Compain to the police

May file case of injunction against the persons who are creating any obstruction in your way

You both may in anticipation may file /move application in this regard in the concerned court of sub-divisional Magistrate or A.D.M.

Re: Registry-marriage.

Once both girl and boy attains majority, there could no restriction on either of one to select his/her spouse and get married.

But one thing, before getting married get the affidavit of the girl that she is doing this at her own volition and there is no force or coersion on your side, and file this affdiavit in local police station

Re: Registry-marriage.

get married in some arya samaj mandir and take their certificate. then give a report in police station and police commissioner through the girl that she is marrying u without pressure and if her family members take any action against u then no action may be taken in this regard.

then at the earliest get ur marriage registered at SDM

it would be fine otherwise certainly they could create problems for u

For details and more advice please contact with documents(if any). consultation charges will apply
