Legal Question in Family Law in India

hello sir i am first wife of my husband after few years later he accepted to give me some alimony,but he is taken signature in the papers that later i should not claim any share of the property when he dies, do everything goes to second wife the share whatever he has his fathers property, please can u advice me sir.

Have you got divorce from any court? If your husband has got signed on blank papers, that cannot take away your rights unless you have signed the papers submitted to the court. You have to verify.

How do you say, you are the first wife. Unless you are divorced and your husband got married to another woman, you cannot call yourself first wife legally. Otherwise the second woman is not a legally wedded wife. So whatever papers you have signed do not have any significance. You can always say it was obtained unde coercion, fraud and illegally.

If you have received permanent alimony, you should not expect any share in his property.
