Legal Question in Family Law in India

How are summons issued to an NRI from Indian court? Can Ministry of Law and Justice or Ministry of Home affairs play a role in it. Also how long does the process take. Can it not be sent directly to the NRI? Pls advise. Thanks

the summons may be sent directly or through the indian embassy or consulate there or through hague convention
