What kind of insurance you are looking for? is it motor vehicle accident or other?

173 Report is charge sheet submitted by the police in Judicial Magistrate Court, pursuant to an investigation done in an FIR.

You can get copy of charge sheet from Judicial magistrate court, of the place, where FIR of the incident was lodged.

in case the death was unnatural i.e. suicide, murder or accident, the local SDM has to conduct an enquiry u/s 173 of crpc. the company may be asking you for that report. you may contact your local SDM or the court concerned where the inquest report is filed.
