Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in India

My father was tenant of a house in kolkata since 1984. He died in oct, 2010. Landlord took nov 2010 rent in his name but refused to continue or have me as a tenant. My mother died before my father and my only sister is married. I sent money order rent for dec 2010. They accepted. Then in jan 2011 they refused. I went to rent control and have been submitting my rent there since. Two days back landlord demanded huge amount as name change fees and rupees four thousand rent p m. He also said all pendings should be cleared at 4000 pm. Else he is thretening me of forcibly entring my house and breaking down equipments like tv, dth etc. which he claims I should have taken permission for. what can I do?

U may file civil suit or may file application under rent act and may file complaint to police for the act of the landlord
