Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India

I live in a Housing Society in Brahmand, Thane. The flat is on a leave-and-license(rented) basis. The owner stays in Andheri and we 4 bachelors live in the flat and we pay the rent to the owner via cheques. All legal procedures have been followed while getting the lease and registration of the property has also been done.
Recently, the society general secretary has been throwing tantrums about female guests in my house. According to him, we should not entertain female guests after evening or during the night. This is a discrimination according to me. Please advice about whether a society can impose such restrictions or not.
