Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India

I recently purchased a flat in madipakkam and done the registration for the same in pallavaram sro. My name has been wrongly typed in the sale deed and it got registered. Please let me know the impact of this and the process to correct the name in the sale deed.

If at all I need to go for a rectification deed, what will be the cost of the same.

Thanks

R Venugopal

Dear Sir / Madam,

Please immediately apply in writing and inform the Registrar at the District Collector's Office of the error, and complete the prescribed procedure as informed by him to rectify the error. You can substantiate with evidence like Passport, Ration Card, PAN Card, Voter's Card etc showing your correct name.
