We purchased a car from an individual on a Saturday and it had a clean and clear title. The following weds someone (most likely govt) put a lien on car against precious owner. We went to

Plate the car Friday and were told we couldn't. Do we sue the bmv for a court ordered title and what are the chances we will get one or do we sue the individual. Also we do not know the individual current address because address on Title was a precious address. Bmv, courthous ad police are unsure who to sue and what will happen
