bankruptcy discharge

When you make your last scheduled payment in a chapter 13 case, how long does it take to receive a discharge? Is is automatically considered paid off or is there another process you have to go through.

The trustee will file a motion for an Order showing that the Plan has been successfully completed and ask the Court to issue a discharge. Usually this occurs within 30 days of the last payment depending on the caseload of the Trustee
