Your question indicate that you want to know the difference between the scope of Contract Act and Transfer of Property Act (TPA). Well, Indian Contract Act is of the year 1872 and it govern all contractual relationships. An offer when accepted, coupled with consideration, becomes an agreement. An agreement which is enforceable by law is called a 'contract'. What agreements are enforceable by law and what are not, are laid down under the Contract Act.

The Transfer of Property Act (TPA) 1882 is a specialised law dealing with transfer of property, movable or immovable. In other words, the TPA deals with the contracts relating to property. It govern the contracts of sale, mortgages, lease, gift, actionalble claims, etc. It lays down the rights and duties of the buyer and seller, mortgagor and mortgagee etc. I hpe this answers your query. If you have some particular situation before you and looking for the solution, you may like to provide details. Perhaps, then I may be able to better guide you.
