Legal Question in Criminal Law in Indiana

if one was to illegally enter another's household or garage,in order to find out whether an illegal cannabis grow op was taking place and found out there was one,but then called the cops about it,would they be charged for breaking and entering?or not? note: they had no intention of stealing anything,they were also found by the house owner and violently threatened,with both a gun and a knife and were told to pay up a certain amount of cash and that they wouldn't call the cops on the one who broke in

The person could be charged with residential entry. Whether they will be is up to the prosecutor in that county.
