Legal Question in Criminal Law in Indiana

When A proper formated Appearance form for Pro-Se is filed and accepted by the courts does the prosicutor have to extent the same respect towards you that he would an attorney? I am listed as the Pro-Se attorney of record in a Misdermenor battery Trial De Novo and there is a No contact order in place that in including only one witness. I am filing a Motion to modify so that I my exercise my visitation with my minor children, so I called the Prosicutor to see if we could work out an agreement just for the soul perpose of not taking up extra court time. He would not talk to me but did admit if I was a attorney he would have.. I had no pupose of descussing the cause only the modifiction of the no contact order ( I would understand if it was only on the allegded victem but it is including a witness thjat is the mother of my children..) amI right in thinking that I have to be treated the same as a attorney... My question in constitutional law and I reside in Indiana if that helps... Thanks

The prosecutor does not have to negotiate with to you, anymore than he has to negotiate with an attorney. He may choose not to do so.
