Re: statutes of limitations

If a violation of probation is filed with the court, the time that would normally pass is tolled or frozen. It will not be resolved until addressed by the court. If one completes probation and a violation could have been filed but was not, then there should be little concern.

Please keep in mind this a very basic and general overview of the issue. Each case and it's facts are different and must be reviewed before any advice could be offered or relied upon.

If you have an attorney, I would urge you to consult with him or her. If you do not have one, then you are welcome to contact our office at 317 686-0000 for a more in depth dicussion on the topic.
