Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

Purchased home april 2010 and was single. married july 2010. wife had a condo to sell. I put my wife on the deed dec.2010 to try and give her a more secure. her condo sold early 2011 . she had to have her name on mortgage and we refinanced jan. 2012. she applied $20,000 towards the principal and another $10,000 for all new applicanes, replacement windows. Now we are going thru divorce and she wants to walk away with this $30,000 and not be responsible for the $90,000debt we have together. what do you think. her atty. is claiming this was bought to the marriage and she is entitled to it. fact is this was done AFTER the marriage. what do you think?

I think that the other side may have a very defensible position in negotiation, depending of course on all the others debts and assets that exist, and that you better listen to your attorney on the subject. If you do not have one, you absolutely need to hire one given the asset amounts involved here.
