Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Indiana

My case is a civil case in IN. I have a pretrial order to be filed. No pretrial conference is scheduled. Is a pretrial order the same as a pretrial conference? What is involved with a pretrial order? Do I have to do Rule 16C (conference of attorneys at least 10 days prior to pretrial conference) for a pretrial order?

A pretrial order is not the same as a pretrial Conference. The first is a pleading and order, which governs the conduct of a trial. The second is the final conference, before trial, at which the court and parties map out the course of trial. These aspects are very involved and complicated. You wouldn't want to attempt them on your own without an attorney.
