Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Indiana

I was involved in an incident at school, where myself and a friend were suspended for hazing a fellow wrestling teammate. We were not asked by anyone about what was going on, nor was the student that we were supposedly hazing. Then we were notified the next day that we were to be suspended from school and from wrestling. The student that we were accused of hazing has said multiple times that we were all joking around, and has also had his father talk to the vice-principal saying that it wasn't hazing. But after all this, we have been told that it doesn't matter what we say happened, or that the other student also says it wasn't hazing. We are being punished for something that didn't occur according to all parties involved. Is there anything that can be done regarding the suspension? Or does our school have absolute authority?

It seems like there may be agrement on the facts of what happened, but a disagreement as to whether those facts constituted "hazing." You need to sit down with an attorney to discuss further. This forum can not help you answer this question without more facts about what DID happen.
