Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Indiana

We are seeking restitution for wrongs commited and are filing under unlawful conversion and intentional infliction of emotional distress. Before filing, we would like to consult with an attorney on the matters at hand and the evidentiary support at hand. What branch of law would conversion and IIED be classified under? Thank you very much for your help.

These causes of actions are classified under the law of "Torts". If you are looking for a lawyer to advise you on the viability of your claims, you should seek out a lawyer who:

(1) is a civil litigator

(2) with practice that is focused on torts

(3) who has experience litigating conversion and IIED

(4) and preferably has a trial or two under her/his belt.

Good luck! tma

Thank you for your question. You are seeking two different remedies. One, the conversion is for personal property, the other, for personal injury. You need to contact an attorney who handles personal injury cases and who is also a general civil litigator. Hope this helps.
