Legal Question in Immigration Law in Indiana

Immigration

I am trying to get my husband over here from Romania. I am trying to find out what I have to do if the INS gives us a hard time. I am filing papers now but I am wondering if it is better to get an attorney to do this or if it is just as easy to proceed as I am now. We were married on December 8th and I miss him very much and I want him to get here as quickly as possible. Can you tell me what is the best way for me to proceed to get him here fast? I am also curious to know if I do need to get an attorney what the cost might be.

Thank you

Thank you for your inquiry. Assuming you are a USC -- The most expeditious way to reunite with your spouse is to file a K visa petition. He would enter on this visa and then apply for his green card once he enters the US.

If you are a permanent resident or a non-immigrant you would be reunited via a different process. Please feel free to contact me directly to discuss your inquiry and legal costs at 619.233.0900.

Re: Immigration

Linda Decker is correct. A K-visa if you're already a U.S. citizen. If you're a green card holder, it's a little different, with a longer wait. The paperwork and accompanying evidence that must be filed can be complicated; the process must be followed precisely. I have handled many of these types of immigration matters, and can handle it for you for a flat fee in the area of $1,200 to $1,800, plus expenses/costs (e.g., filing fees), depending on your specific status and other circumstances. Besides, I can handle everything with you via e-mail or phone. Call me:
