Legal Question in Employment Law in Indiana

My employer has been deducting pay from my hours when a customer uses a coupon. I am a mechanic and am paid on flat rate time with an hourly wage. For ex if a job pays an hour i get an hour regardless of how long it takes. So if a customer uses a $10 coupon they deduct 0.1 of my pay or if a job pays 10 hours and they use a 10% coupon they take away 10% of my hours (1 hour).

After 28 years in practice, this is a new one on me. I agree with attorney Glover that it probably violates Indiana law. I would have to do some legal research to be any more certain. Feel free to contact me at 317-634-2200 if you would like to speak about this in more detail.
