Legal Question in Employment Law in Indiana

labor laws

i have been with a company for 6.5 years, i was just released from a work related back strain accident after doing several days light duty. yesterday i was released to return to work my normal work duties with no restrictions,i returned early in the day resuming my job, 5 min . until my quitting time my boss informs me tha t meeting took place and the company was requiring me to have a phyical perform to proof my ability to perform my duties safley. but at my own expence and i could not return until this is done, but reassured me i wasnt losing my job .it sounds like i,m suspended without pay without any disipline reasons even dr. doesnt undersand and isnt getting any satifactor answers. what recorce do i have if any?

Assuming there is no union contract involved (nor any other federal discriminatory laws, to wit, "making only blacks do this, or females, or older workers, etc) your options are pretty limited. You need to go get the physical from the same doctor. A company can require such thing.
