Legal Question in Employment Law in Indiana

I received a concusion from work related, and the doctor told me I could not drive, I got out of the hospital on Wednesday and received points against me from work for not coming in on Thursday due to the fact that I could not drive and was still unstable to work.. is this allowable?

There is a difference between not being able to drive and not being able to work. Please repost with exactly waht the doctor said.

Your question does not state whether or not you called your employer in advance of your absence. Depending on what the policy states, this could be the determining factor.
