Legal Question in Employment Law in Indiana

Suspension pending trail.

A friend of mine works for Walmart as a salaried member of managment. They got arested at a party for Resisting arest because they refeused to allow police to enter her house. There were minors at the party but no drugs. She has been suspended from work untill the date of her trial. Does this sound legal? I know Walmart has policy that if you are convicted of a crime they can fire you. If the charges of droped can she sue for lost wages? Her roommate who is an hourly associate has also been suspended pending her trial.

Re: Suspension pending trail.

There's not much your friend can do. Wal-mart can suspend, or just not schedule your friend to work at their discretion. IN is an at-will state, and a person can be fired for nearly any or no reason.
