Legal Question in Employment Law in Indiana

I was terminated from a job because they ran a second background check in my second week of employment, when the first one they ran was clean.....and saw that I was arrested for a D Felony Theft a month previously to being employed with them, but its still going through court and I have not yet been convicted of anything..... Can they fire me for that? Whatever happened to innocent until proven guilty?

They can fire you for any reason in Indiana even if you did not mislead them. Indiana is an at will employment state.
