Legal Question in Personal Injury in Indiana

My wife was pregnant and in a car accident 21 years ago. There was an insurance settlement for medical bills and the vehicle. She was injured and sent to the hospital due to going into shock. The hospital lifelined her to a bigger hospital because they feared injury to the baby. We settled with the insurance company after the baby was born. However, my wife has continued to have issues with her shoulder and back over the years including extensive treatments with Ortho doctors. Today my wife was told that her shoulder injury is related to broken ribs that did not heal right. My wife was never diagnosed for this injury by the hospitals. Do I have any legal recourse?

You would have to refer to the language of the settlement documents which you most likely signed in conjunction with the payment. Most likely, you are bound by the terms of the settlement and barred from further recovery.
