Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Indiana

We bought a house from a couple in Janaury 2005. Since then that couple has apparently not paid on the next house they bought because THEIR creditors are calling us (even though they had a totally different phone number than us) and have actually come to our door looking for them. It has been nearly 8 years since we have lived in this house. We don't know those people other than from selling us our house. We have tried to tell the creditors that we are not them they have the wrong number, but they keep calling. Just because those people lived here at one time does not mean they are still here plus they had a different phone number. We are tired of being harassed. What can we do?

Start keeping track of contacts from each creditor. If any individual creditor begins to harrass you with multiple contacts (let's say six to start out with), then contact an attorney. Other than that, there is little to be done to eliminate this inconvenience.
