Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Indiana

Mortgage

I filed for Bankruptcy in 2003. I decided at that time to keep my house. The mortgage on it is more than it is worth and I want to get out from under it. Is there any way to do that?

Re: Mortgage

If you reaffrimed the mortgage debt, then you don't have any easy options. So the first thing to do is review your bankruptcy case file to see if the mortgage debt was reaffirmed. If there is no reaffirmation, then you can siimply walk away from the loan. Good luck.
