Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Indiana
My husbands grandmother signed over her house and property to my husband about a year ago in the form of a quit claim deed. She recently passed away a few weeks ago. The house and property was already in my husbands name when she died. I was wondering if everything in the house was his also. We talked to a few people at the bank and some other people that have had the same situation and they said that no one has any right to the stuff because its my husbands, but his aunt, who is trying to take everything in the house, says it's personal property. I was wondering if it is actually personal property or if the stuff is my husbands? Thanks

The quitclaim deed only concerns real property. He would have to prove that it was his grandmother's intent to gift the entire contents also.
