Quit Claim Deeds
My Aunt who lives in Texas wants to Quit Claim her home to my self and my husband now rather than put it in her will. And have all the hastles with a will. My question, can I legally pay the property tax on said property and clain this deduction on my federal return? Also does it make a difference if I live in Indiana and the property is in Texas.

About the taxes, you need to ask an accountant.
