I must apologize on behalf of the other lawyer who sent you an advertising instead of an honest attempt to answer your question.

The simple answer to your question is: you must defend yourself. if you ar enot guilty, you must get an attorney and defend. If you are guilty, you will still be better off with an attorney to make sure that the evidence against you is properly obtained, in reliable and if so, perhaps get a deal to get a better sentence.

If you do not defend yourself, you will be found guilty and wither fined or jailed.
