Legal Question in Family Law in Iowa

divorce decree appeal

iowa's divorce law states that all marital property is to be divided equitably. when i received a copy of my final decree, a substantial amount of the property awarded to me as marital assets were accually pre marital asset. this unfairly inflated my fair market value share of the marital assets by almost $5000, therefore creating a very unequitable divison of the real marital assets. would this be grounds for an appeal and what would be my chances of winning?

Your remedy is to file a timely notice of appeal and appeal the division of property.
