E bay

i baught a product on e bay by mistake.the auction was finished but now i dont want to pay for it as i dont want it.is there a legal obligation on me to pay for it.can the seller take me to court looking for the price of the object

Sellers on E-Bay appreciate the courtesy of you letting them know immediately if you can't buy what you've bid on for whatever reason. It's not good practice, and you can get on their blacklist, but most reputable sellers are not going to try to force the issue.

E-mail or call them immediately and let them know you can't buy the thing, and then they can offer it to the next highest bidder. You always have the right to cancel a purchase,--read the EBay terms and conditions to find out how to do it.
