Legal Question in Consumer Law in Kentucky

I financed a car at a dealership a couple years ago and only have about $2400 left to pay off. In september i called to make a payment and was told i dont make my payments to them anymore because my account was sold to another company. I didnt receive any notice of this. I called the other company and was on hold for a while. So i called again and spoke to someone. I told them i hadnt received info to where the payments are to be sent or anything. They were supposed to send this info within that week (in october). When i didnt receive that week i waited a few days because according to them i may or may not receive the same week. I called again to let them know i STILL have not received any information and once again gave address, phone number. Last night my car was picked up saying i owe payments and repo fee. Is this legal and what should i do? Can the company be sued or what?

Please help in KY

You need to consult with an attorney as you most likely have an action for them wrongfully repossessing the car against the dealership if you were making the payments directly to them. You need to try to act fast though as the car probably has not have been sold yet if this just occurred last night.
