informant

if you ask someone if they work with law or someone tells you they are woking with the law. can the tape tape still be used in court?

Yes, if the tape is of criminal activity. There are a lot of circumstances surrounding evidence and this one thing would not, in most circumstances, prevent it from being used in court and let the jury draw its own conclusions.
