property

lived with a man for 10 years, he moved out then the next week he came back while i was away and took everything we had bought together. can he do this. he did not reside at the residence when he came back am i entitled to half we have an eight year old child together and he even took his clothes and all of his games

Kentucky does not recognize common law marriage and the absence of a legal marriage makes things more difficult for you. Family Court can only address child custody, time sharing, child support and the child's belongings in your situation.

Regarding the personal belongings, you can pursue criminal charges through the County Attorney's office. You could also initiate a civil action for conversion (unlawful taking) of your property. Which court that is filed in depends on the value of the property.
