Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Louisiana

Bankruptcy and Student Loan Eligibility

I recently filed for Chapter 7 (this week) and I haven't appeared in court yet. I understand that I was obligated to list all my creditors, including student loan lenders, which I did. I'm still in college and will be graduating next year. Will it affect my eligibility for being approved for a Stafford Loan (subsidized/unsubsidized) or Perkins Loan? I do not have prior loan defaults, nor am I scheduled to start payments because my expected date of graduation will be next year.

Student Loan Eligibility

Although no two lenders are alike, one of my client's received her student loan money after her bankruptcy discharge had come through. She used the loan money to pay off some non-dischargable debts at a substantial discount. I don't know what student loan program she applied for, but she received more than $7,000

Although there are no guarantees, I hope this works for you too.
