Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Louisiana

attorney access

The State of Louisiana and Texas is denying me access to an attorney. When I call any attorney, someone is on the other end telling the receptionists not put me through. One time it was someone from Chris Johns office. What can I do about this?

My allegations are against the University of Louisiana and the State of Louisiana.

Re: attorney access

Dear LawGuru Friend,

You state very few facts in your question. If you are trying to call an attorney, is it your attorney you want to talk with, or is it the State of Louisiana's attorney? You can call any attorney you please, as far as I know. Feel free to call me, if you elect. I can understand that if you have a claim against the State of Louisiana and/or the University of LA at Lafayette, that if you called there and asked to speak to their attorney, you might be cut off or your call might not be put through to your adversary's attorney. However, any local phone book is full of the names, addresses and phone numbers of attorneys you can speak to simply by calling them. As I say, I am an attorney; and I shall be glad to talk with you about any legal problem or question that you may have. Feel free to call me! There is no charge for just talking. Best of luck to you!

Sincerely,

Hardy Parkerson, Attorney at Law
