What if I was tricked into visiting an illegal site?
i was tricked into going to a website i didnt know anything about and never heard of before, and then i saw a screen that says my ip was logged in accordance with u.s. law because i was trying to view illegal materials. can i still be in trouble even if i had no clue what was even going on?

Dear :LawGrur Friend,
Your intention certainly plays a part in preparing
a defense to any charge. Hopefully, you will not be
charged. The police do overdo it in wrongfully
entrapping curious people to view especially child
pornography, and once charged, no one wants
to believe the innocent person who was so entrapped.
Hopefully, you will not be charged. In the future, avoid
such situations with the computer like the plague. Also,
if you would like to hear what an old criminal lawyer
has to say about all this, e-mail me your name and
phone number and I will call you and/or e-mail you
back to discuss you situation further with you. Of course,
there will be no charge and what you tell me will be held
in strictest confidence.
Sincerely,
