Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Louisiana

yes i got suied by one of my old landlords. basically a crook. well a judgement was filed aginist me and iv been paying on it. well times got hard and i missed a few payments now there sending me a letter saying there going to garnish my check or seize my stuff. i don't own anything except a few automobiles but 2 of them are not even in running order. what can i do to stop a levy of what stuff i do own? i rent my house and i get paid cash for what work i do do. but im just worried there going to take the only thing i do have and thats my car i paid 500.00 for. what can i do to avoid this? im going to pay them i just haven't had any work. but i don't want to pay this and they still levy my personal belongings.

They have a right to seize property. If the plaintiff is represented by an attorney, I would call the attorney. Most collection attorneys are willing to work with you, so long as they know you are making a real effort to satisfy the Judgment.
